The head MRI component produces high-resolution images of brain parenchyma using a 3.0 Tesla scanner, identifying tumours, areas of ischaemia, white matter lesions, and structural abnormalities that might otherwise remain silent for years. The MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) maps the arterial vasculature of the brain, screening for aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and stenosis in the circle of Willis and major cerebral arteries.
