Men’s Health Panel
Duration
1 hour
Comprehensive men's health and longevity assessment covering testosterone status, thyroid function, cardiovascular risk, prostate health, metabolic markers, and nutritional profiling, with personalised optimisation protocols.
Men's healthspan is strongly influenced by the gradual decline in testosterone and other anabolic hormones that begins from the mid-30s onward — a process sometimes called andropause. The Longevity GP's Men's Healthspan Assessment provides a rigorous evaluation of the hormonal, metabolic, and cardiovascular factors most relevant to men's longevity, energy, physical performance, and cognitive function. The assessment opens with a detailed consultation exploring symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, erectile dysfunction, loss of muscle mass, increased body fat (particularly visceral fat), mood changes, poor sleep, cognitive decline, and difficulty recovering from exercise. These are mapped against a comprehensive hormonal blood panel covering total testosterone, free testosterone, bioavailable testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol (elevated in men with high body fat), LH, FSH, DHEA-S, and prolactin. Thyroid function is assessed in full — TSH, free T3, free T4 — since hypothyroidism in men is under-diagnosed and can mimic testosterone deficiency symptoms. Adrenal health is evaluated through DHEA-S and cortisol levels, with stress-related HPA axis dysregulation being a significant contributor to fatigue and hormonal imbalance in men. Prostate health is assessed via PSA (prostate-specific antigen) — an important baseline screen for men over 40 and essential monitoring for those considering testosterone optimisation therapy. Cardiovascular risk profiling includes a full lipid panel, high-sensitivity CRP, HbA1c, fasting insulin, and glucose, reflecting the strong link between testosterone deficiency and elevated cardiovascular risk. Nutritional and metabolic markers — including Vitamin D, magnesium, zinc (critical for testosterone synthesis), B12, ferritin, and omega-3 index — round out the assessment. A personalised optimisation protocol is developed based on results, potentially including targeted supplementation, lifestyle and nutritional interventions, exercise prescription, and — where clinically indicated — discussion of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or other hormonal interventions, with ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and efficacy.
