What's included

3 deliverables in this treatment

  • Venous blood draw
  • Laboratory testing of Iron and Ferritin
  • Written results summary

The Iron & Full Blood Count test evaluates iron status and overall blood health by measuring iron and ferritin levels in one blood sample.

About this treatment

This panel assesses Iron (Fe) and Ferritin from a venous blood draw, providing insight into iron stores and possible anemia. The analysis may support decisions about dietary changes or supplementation. Results are presented in a 120‑180 word format. Included are the blood collection, dual‑marker laboratory testing, and a written report summarizing findings with guidance on next steps.

Who is this for?

Individuals concerned about iron deficiency or anemia

Biomarkers tested

2
Ferritin ng/mL

The primary iron storage protein. Ferritin reflects total body iron stores and is the first marker to drop in iron deficiency. However, ferritin also rises with inflammation, infection, and liver disease, which can mask true iron deficiency.

Iron (Fe) µg/dL

A mineral essential for oxygen transport (in hemoglobin), energy production, and immune function. Serum iron measures the amount circulating in blood, but ferritin and TIBC provide a more complete picture of iron status.
