Wisdom tooth (third molar) removal is one of The Clinic Praha's signature services — performed quickly and gently, including complicated impacted cases, by the oral surgery team. Extractions are graded by difficulty: simple (from 3,500 Kč), surgical (from 5,500 Kč) and complicated (from 7,500 Kč), with CBCT 3D imaging used to plan around the nerve canal where roots are deep. Anxious patients can choose analgosedation supervised by an anaesthesiologist (5,500 Kč/hour) or full general anaesthesia, making even multiple-tooth removal in one visit calm and pain-free. Removal of crowding wisdom teeth is also a common preparatory step before Invisalign treatment.
About this treatment
Wisdom teeth frequently lack space to erupt properly — growing at an angle, staying partially or fully impacted in the bone, pressing on the second molars, or creating gum pockets that repeatedly inflame (pericoronitis). Removal is indicated for recurrent inflammation, decay in unreachable positions, cyst formation, orthodontic crowding (often before aligner treatment), and prophylactically when imaging shows future problems.
Difficulty grading and pricing at The Clinic Praha
- Simple extraction (grade 1, from 3,500 Kč): fully erupted tooth removed with forceps under local anaesthesia.
- Surgical extraction (grade 2, from 5,500 Kč): partially erupted or angled tooth requiring a small gum flap and possibly sectioning the tooth.
- Complicated extraction (grade 3, from 7,500 Kč): deeply impacted teeth, proximity to the mandibular nerve, or unusual root anatomy — planned on CBCT 3D imaging (2,500 Kč) to map the nerve canal and sinus floor.

Preparation required
Eat a normal meal beforehand (unless sedation/general anaesthesia is planned — follow fasting instructions given by the anaesthesiologist). Arrange someone to accompany you home after sedation. Report blood thinners and all medications in advance.
