A crown rebuilds a single weakened tooth — typically after root canal treatment or a large fracture — while a bridge replaces one or more missing teeth using the neighbouring teeth as anchors. Provisional crowns (3,500 Kč) protect the prepared tooth during fabrication, and digital scanning replaces uncomfortable impression trays where possible.

**Crowns:** a crown is indicated when a tooth has lost too much structure for a filling to hold — after extensive decay, fracture, or root canal treatment (root-treated teeth become brittle and benefit from full-coverage protection). The Clinic Praha offers two main ceramic options: zirconia-ceramic crowns (17,500 Kč), combining a high-strength zirconia core with aesthetic ceramic layering — the workhorse choice for both front and back teeth; and CEREC ceramic crowns (15,500 Kč), milled from a ceramic block using CAD/CAM technology for an efficient digital workflow. A provisional crown (3,500 Kč) covers the prepared tooth while the definitive restoration is made. **Bridges:** a fixed bridge (zirconia-ceramic from 35,000 Kč) replaces missing teeth by anchoring onto crowned neighbouring teeth — a long-proven alternative where an implant is not suitable or not desired. The trade-off versus an implant is that anchor teeth must be prepared for crowns; the clinic's implant department can advise which option fits your anatomy and budget at a consultation. **Process:** local anaesthesia and tooth preparation, digital scan or impression, provisional restoration, laboratory fabrication by the in-house Prague lab (allowing fast turnaround and direct shade matching), then try-in and permanent cementation with bite adjustment. **Care:** crowned teeth and bridge anchors still need meticulous hygiene at the gumline, and bridges require cleaning under the pontic with superfloss or interdental brushes — technique is demonstrated at the hygiene centre. With good care, modern zirconia restorations commonly last well beyond ten years.
