Rhinoplasty at The Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery Clinic is performed as day surgery under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia, making it suitable for patients across a range of health profiles. The procedure reshapes the nose structurally, addressing aesthetic goals (bridge height, tip definition, width, projection) as well as functional concerns such as a deviated septum causing nasal obstruction. Cartilage grafts are harvested from the nasal septum as first preference; where additional volume or support is required, ear cartilage or rib cartilage may be used. Frozen donor rib cartilage is also an option when autologous supply is limited. The clinic's surgeons adapt techniques to Asian anatomy — where augmentation of a flat nasal bridge and tip projection are common goals — as well as to Caucasian anatomy where reduction rhinoplasty or tip refinement may be the primary aim. Post-operative management includes nasal packs and steristrips to stabilise the nose; these are removed at day 5–7 along with sutures. Mild bruising, swelling, and temporary nasal congestion are expected in the first 1–2 weeks. Noticeable improvement is typically visible at 3–4 weeks, though the final refined result — particularly at the nasal tip — may take several months as soft tissue swelling fully resolves.
