Full-body MRI provides a non-invasive, radiation-free imaging overview of the body's major structures — including the brain, spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Unlike CT scanning, MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves rather than ionising radiation, making it a preferred modality for preventive screening in otherwise healthy individuals.

The scan may help identify structural abnormalities, early-stage tumours, organ enlargement, vascular anomalies, and musculoskeletal conditions that would not be detected through blood tests or physical examination alone. It is important to note that screening MRI in asymptomatic individuals can occasionally identify incidental findings that require follow-up investigation, and not all findings are clinically significant.
