Brain MRI produces high-resolution images of the brain's structures, including the cerebral cortex, white matter tracts, ventricles, brainstem, and cerebellum. The scan can identify a range of structural abnormalities including tumours, vascular malformations, white matter lesions, signs of prior silent strokes, and changes associated with neurodegenerative conditions.
