Comprehensive men's health screening building on the extended prevention panel with added PSA for prostate cancer screening. Covers cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, liver and kidney function, minerals, and the leading male-specific malignancy. At 1,100 CZK (~44 EUR), a thorough annual check at a fraction of Western European pricing.
This panel extends the comprehensive prevention screen with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) — the primary biomarker for early detection of prostate cancer, the most commonly diagnosed non-skin malignancy in European men. The European Association of Urology recommends baseline PSA measurement at age 40-45, with screening intervals individualised based on the initial result. Total PSA above 4.0 ng/mL traditionally triggers urological referral, but age-specific reference ranges improve diagnostic accuracy — a value of 2.5 ng/mL in a man under 50 may warrant investigation. PSA is organ-specific but not cancer-specific: benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, recent ejaculation, and cycling can all cause elevation. This is why an abnormal screening PSA leads to further investigation (MRI, targeted biopsy) rather than direct treatment. The base panel covers haematology (complete blood count with differential), metabolic screening (fasting glucose), inflammation (CRP), liver function (ALT, AST, GGT), full lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), kidney function (creatinine, urea), minerals (calcium, magnesium), total protein, amylase (pancreas), and urinalysis with albumin-creatinine ratio for early kidney dysfunction detection. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in European men, and the lipid panel combined with blood pressure and smoking history enables SCORE2 risk calculation. The metabolic markers screen for type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome — both substantially more prevalent in men. At 1,100 CZK (~44 EUR), this panel provides the breadth of testing that would cost 200-400 EUR at a German private laboratory. Blood draw and serum separation are included. Results within two business days.
