SYNLAB's most thorough general screening panel, available at the Brno Titanium collection point: 18 analyses covering blood count, glucose, CRP, full lipid panel, liver and kidney function, minerals, thyroid TSH, pancreatic amylase, and urinalysis with albumin-creatinine ratio. At 975 CZK (~39 EUR), comprehensive annual screening at a fraction of Austrian or German prices.

The Rozšířená prevence (Extended Prevention) package is the broadest general screening panel in SYNLAB's e-shop catalogue, delivering over 30 individual biomarkers across metabolic, organ function, and inflammatory domains in a single blood draw plus urine sample. For medical tourists visiting Brno from Austria, Slovakia, or Germany, this panel provides the most diagnostic value per euro of any option — equivalent testing at a Viennese private laboratory runs 150-300 EUR. The complete blood count with five-part differential screens for anaemia, infection, and haematological disorders. Fasting plasma glucose detects diabetes and pre-diabetes. C-reactive protein provides non-specific inflammatory screening relevant to both acute illness and chronic cardiovascular risk assessment. The full lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides) enables formal SCORE2 cardiovascular risk stratification. Liver function is evaluated through three enzymes: ALT (the most hepatocyte-specific), AST (shared between liver, cardiac, and skeletal muscle), and GGT (particularly sensitive to biliary dysfunction and alcohol intake). The AST-to-ALT ratio provides additional diagnostic information — a ratio exceeding 2 strongly suggests alcohol-related damage. Kidney function assessment includes creatinine with estimated glomerular filtration rate and urea, together detecting chronic kidney disease that affects roughly 10% of adults over 65. The urinalysis with albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR) catches microalbuminuria — the earliest marker of diabetic nephropathy — before serum creatinine begins to rise. Minerals (calcium, magnesium) screen for deficiencies implicated in muscle cramps, osteoporosis, fatigue, and cardiac rhythm disturbances. Total protein evaluates nutritional status and hepatic synthetic capacity. Amylase screens for pancreatic pathology. Critically, this package includes TSH — the most sensitive single marker for thyroid dysfunction. Because thyroid disease symptoms (fatigue, weight changes, mood disturbance) overlap with so many other conditions, including TSH in a general panel catches cases that would otherwise go undiagnosed for years. Brno is well-connected for cross-border visitors: RegioJet and FlixBus run frequent services from Vienna (under 2 hours), Bratislava (1.5 hours), and Prague (2.5 hours). The Titanium complex is walking distance from the train station. Blood draw and serum separation are included. Results within two business days.
