The approach is tailored to Oriental nasal anatomy: the goal is to enhance the bridge with a silicone or Gore-Tex implant, refine the nasal tip using cartilage grafts harvested from the ear, septum, or rib (depending on the degree of augmentation required), and address the nasal vault and alar base where appropriate. Dr Ng's philosophy prioritises adequate tip projection and natural cartilage support over aggressive alar reduction, avoiding the scarring and nostril distortion that can result from overly zealous base narrowing.
