The clinic's laser platforms are selected for safe, effective treatment across the full range of Asian skin tones — including darker Fitzpatrick IV–VI types where less sophisticated devices carry a higher risk of burns or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Laser hair removal works on the principle of selective photothermolysis: laser energy is absorbed by melanin within the hair shaft and follicle, generating heat that damages the follicle's growth structures. Because the laser selectively targets pigmented follicles, the surrounding skin is left undamaged when settings are properly calibrated. Multiple sessions are required because hair grows in cycles — the laser is only effective during the anagen (active growth) phase, which applies to only a proportion of follicles at any given time. A typical course comprises 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart, with most patients achieving 80–90% permanent hair reduction after completing a full course. Individual results vary based on hair colour, skin type, hormonal factors, and the body zone being treated. Each session begins with the treatment area being shaved and cleansed. A cooling mechanism is applied before and during treatment to enhance comfort and protect the epidermis. Most patients describe the sensation as a brief snap or mild heat. Post-treatment, some redness and follicular oedema is expected for a few hours — this resolves without intervention.
