Full Ceramic Crown

A full-ceramic crown that caps a damaged, heavily filled or root-treated tooth to restore its strength, shape and appearance. Made by partner Polish laboratories and matched to the adjacent teeth, it covers the whole visible tooth. At Supradent the tooth is prepared and an impression or scan taken, with a build-up added first if the remaining tooth structure needs reinforcing.

A dental crown is a custom cap that fits over a tooth that is too broken down, heavily filled or weakened — often after root canal treatment — to be restored with a simple filling. A full-ceramic crown does this while closely mimicking the translucency and colour of natural enamel, which makes it well suited to visible teeth. At Supradent Matuszewscy the tooth is shaped to receive the crown, an impression or digital scan is taken, and the crown is fabricated by one of the clinic's partner prosthetic laboratories. Where a tooth has lost a lot of structure, a post-and-core build-up may be placed first to give the crown a solid foundation; this is listed separately on the price list. A temporary crown can protect the tooth while the final restoration is made. At fitting, the ceramic crown is checked for shade, contour and bite, then secured in place. The aim is to rebuild chewing function and protect the remaining tooth while blending in with the rest of the smile. Full-ceramic materials avoid the dark metal margins that can show with older crown types. The clinic's warranty applies to the prosthetic work, and longevity is associated with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups. The dentist will explain whether a crown, an onlay or a different restoration is the most conservative option for your particular tooth, and the cost of any build-up is quoted alongside the crown.
