A comprehensive 65-biomarker blood panel designed for women, drawn by registered nurses at Super Young and reviewed with a functional medicine doctor. Covers the same ten categories as the male panel — blood count, hormones, thyroid, liver, kidneys, bone health, inflammation, lipids, sugar and metabolism, vitamins and minerals — with the female hormone profile including oestradiol, progesterone, LH, FSH, free testosterone, cortisol, and DHEA-S. The higher price reflects additional female-specific hormone assays. Results tracked in the Super Young app.
About this treatment
The female baseline blood panel at Super Young is a 65-biomarker functional medicine-grade test covering the same ten categories as the male panel, with a hormone profile tailored to female physiology. The additional cost ($995 vs $795 for males) reflects the broader hormone panel — oestradiol, progesterone, LH, FSH, free testosterone, cortisol, and DHEA-S — which provides critical insight into menstrual cycle health, perimenopause, menopause status, and…
The process is identical to the male panel: complete an onboarding questionnaire, attend a fasting blood draw (8–12 hour fast, water OK, draws daily 8am–12pm), and then meet with a functional medicine doctor once results return. The doctor interprets results through a functional lens — focusing on optimal ranges rather than just pathology reference ranges.
For women, the hormone panel is particularly valuable. Many female patients discover subclinical thyroid issues, iron deficiency (ferritin often drops below optimal before haemoglobin does), or progesterone insufficiency that a standard GP panel wouldn't flag. The functional medicine doctor can advise on cycle-specific supplementation, lifestyle changes, and whether further specialist referrals are warranted.
