HILT Laser — Extended 60 min

Type

Laser Therapy (HILT)

Duration

1 hour

Extended 60-minute HILT treatment session for larger target areas, multiple zones, or cases needing deeper protocol coverage. For returning clients on multi-area indications.

HILT (High-Intensity Laser Therapy) is a class IV therapeutic laser used for pain relief, anti-inflammatory effect, and accelerated tissue healing across musculoskeletal indications. The laser delivers high peak power in short pulses, reaching deep tissue depths (up to 8-10 cm) where lower-class lasers and LEDs can't penetrate effectively. The biological response includes photobiomodulation of cellular activity (mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase), increased ATP production, modulation of inflammatory mediators, and enhanced lymphatic drainage. Indications: acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain (neck, lower back, shoulder, hip, knee), tendinopathies (tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, Achilles), bursitis, arthritis, post-surgical pain, post-injury rehabilitation, trigger-point pain, and selected nerve-pain syndromes. A standard HILT session runs 30 minutes (single procedure rate), with longer 60-minute initial appointments combining assessment + first treatment. The studio also offers extended 60-minute treatment sessions for larger or multi-area cases. Contraindications: pregnancy (relative — not over abdomen), malignancy in target area, active infection, recent steroid injection in area, untreated thyroid pathology (when treating over the thyroid), photosensitising medications, and treatment over a tattoo or pigmented lesion (relative — discuss with operator). During the session you'll wear protective laser-safe goggles. The treatment is generally pain-free, with a mild warming sensation in the target area. Sessions typically run 5-7 days apart in a course.
