Mole & Skin Lesion Removal

Type

Mole Removal

Duration

30 min

Expert surgical removal of moles, skin tags, cysts, and benign lesions by a specialist dermatologist, with pathological analysis where clinically indicated. MOH-accredited day surgery facility.

Stratum Skin & Surgery specialises in the surgical removal of moles, skin tags, sebaceous cysts, lipomas, warts, and other benign skin lesions, performed by Dr Tay Liang Kiat in a MOH-accredited day surgery setting. Each lesion is assessed during consultation using clinical examination and dermoscopy to determine whether it is benign, atypical, or requires urgent management. Benign lesions are removed using the most appropriate technique — shave excision, punch excision, or elliptical excision — with meticulous wound closure to minimise scarring. Excised tissue is submitted for histopathological analysis where clinically warranted to rule out malignancy. For patients with multiple lesions or larger lesions, a staged removal plan may be recommended. Dr Tay's surgical expertise includes complex excisions and reconstructions beyond standard mole removal, making the clinic a credible choice for patients referred by GPs or seeking a second opinion on a worrying lesion. Post-operative care instructions and a follow-up review are included. The clinic's Joo Chiat and Orchard locations both accommodate minor surgical procedures, with the day surgery suite providing an upgraded environment for more complex cases.
