CBCT imaging is used to plan more complex removals near nerves or sinuses, and the team provides clear aftercare to support healing.

About this treatment

An extraction removes a tooth from its socket in the jaw. It becomes necessary when a tooth is too badly decayed or broken to repair, is loose from advanced gum disease, is impacted (such as a wisdom tooth that cannot fully erupt), or needs to be removed as part of an orthodontic or implant plan. While dentists aim to preserve natural teeth wherever possible, a timely extraction can relieve pain and prevent infection from spreading.

At STOMO Clinic extractions are performed under local anaesthetic so the procedure is comfortable. A routine extraction involves loosening and lifting out a tooth that is fully visible in the mouth.
