Veneers (Ceramic & Composite Bonding)

Type

Veneers

Duration

1 hour

Veneers are thin facings bonded to the front of the teeth to improve their colour, shape, alignment and proportions, creating an even, natural-looking smile. STOMO Clinic offers durable, stain-resistant ceramic veneers — including a no-prep option that avoids grinding the tooth — as well as more affordable composite (bonding) veneers built up directly in a single visit. The right approach is planned tooth by tooth to suit your goals and budget.

Veneers are custom facings applied to the visible surface of the front teeth to refine a smile. They can mask discolouration that whitening cannot shift, close small gaps, reshape worn or uneven edges and create a more symmetrical, harmonious appearance. STOMO Clinic provides two main routes: ceramic (porcelain) veneers and composite bonding. Ceramic veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted in the clinic's prosthetic workflow and bonded to the teeth at a later appointment, with planning carried out using digital iTero scanning. They are highly stain-resistant, hard-wearing and prized for the lifelike way ceramic reflects light. The clinic also offers a no-preparation ceramic veneer that can be placed with minimal or no grinding of the natural tooth, preserving more of the original enamel where the case allows. Composite veneers, by contrast, are sculpted directly onto the teeth from tooth-coloured resin in a single visit; they are more economical and easily repaired, though they may need more upkeep over time than ceramic. Because the choice between ceramic and composite, and between prepared and no-prep techniques, depends on the condition of your teeth and the result you want, the dentist assesses each tooth individually and explains the trade-offs at consultation. Veneers suit adults wanting to improve the look of stained, chipped, slightly crooked or disproportionate front teeth; they are cosmetic and the natural teeth and gums must be healthy first.
