Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and disinfects the canal system and seals it, relieving pain and saving the natural tooth. Stomatologia Pastor was the first clinic in Legnica to perform endodontics under an operating microscope, which improves visibility of the fine canal anatomy. Both first-time and repeat (re-endo) treatments are offered.

About this treatment

Inside every tooth is a soft core of nerve and blood vessels — the pulp — that can become infected or inflamed through deep decay, a crack or trauma, often causing significant pain or an abscess. Root canal (endodontic) treatment removes this damaged pulp, shapes and disinfects the narrow canals inside the roots, and fills and seals them so bacteria cannot re-enter, allowing the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted.

At Stomatologia Pastor, endodontic treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, and the practice was the first in Legnica to treat root canals using an operating microscope. The magnification and lighting help the dentist locate and clean the full canal system, including fine or curved canals that are easy to miss, which supports a more thorough and predictable outcome. The clinic also handles more complex cases, including re-treatment of teeth where…

After treatment a tooth is often best protected with a crown, as root-treated teeth can become brittle. Root canal treatment may relieve pain and allow a natural tooth to be retained for years; the dentist will explain the likely number of visits, whether re-treatment or a crown is advisable, and the expected cost for your specific tooth.
