A titanium implant that replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a fixed crown, bridge or a more stable denture. Stomatologia Kucharski has worked with the Swiss Straumann system since 2004 and reports more than 1,500 implants placed. Both standard SLA and faster-healing SLActive Straumann surfaces are offered, with the restoring crown priced separately. Cone-beam 3D imaging is used to plan placement precisely.

About this treatment

A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is placed into the jawbone to take the place of a missing tooth's root. Over a healing period the bone integrates with the implant surface (osseointegration), creating a stable foundation onto which a crown, bridge or implant-retained denture can later be fixed. Implants are a long-established way to replace one or several teeth without grinding down neighbouring teeth as a conventional bridge would.

Stomatologia Kucharski has placed implants since 2004 using the Swiss Straumann system and reports a track record of more than 1,500 procedures. Patients can choose between the standard Straumann SLA surface and the SLActive surface, which is designed to encourage faster early healing. The practice was founded in 1999 and is led by dentist Paweł Kucharski, who has focused on prosthetics and implantology and works with the Straumann implant system. An established team of eight provides general, paediatric, prosthetic and surgical dental care, supported by an in-house CEREC milling system and on-site 3D cone-beam imaging.
