A crown is a custom cap that restores a heavily filled, broken or root-treated tooth, rebuilding its shape, strength and appearance. Stomatologia Kucharski uses an in-house CEREC system to design and mill full-ceramic and zirconia crowns, as well as porcelain inlays and onlays. Porcelain-fused-to-metal and metal options are also offered, with a temporary crown provided where needed during treatment.
About this treatment
A dental crown is a tailor-made restoration that fits over a tooth which has been weakened by extensive decay, a large old filling, a fracture or root canal treatment. By covering the whole visible tooth it restores natural shape, biting strength and appearance and protects what remains of the underlying tooth. Crowns are also used on implants and as the supports for a bridge that replaces a missing tooth.
Stomatologia Kucharski produces crowns using a CEREC system, which digitally designs the restoration and mills it from a solid ceramic or zirconia block for a precise fit and a natural, tooth-coloured result. The practice was founded in 1999 and is led by dentist Paweł Kucharski, who has focused on prosthetics and implantology and works with the Straumann implant system. An established team of eight provides general, paediatric, prosthetic and surgical dental care, supported by an in-house CEREC milling system and on-site 3D cone-beam imaging.
