About this treatment

A ceramic inlay is an indirect restoration — made outside the mouth and then bonded into the tooth — used to rebuild a moderately to heavily damaged back tooth where a standard direct filling would be too large to last well, yet enough healthy tooth remains to avoid a full crown. It fits within the contours of the prepared cavity, restoring the chewing surface precisely while preserving more of the natural tooth than a crown would.

At Stomatologia Kiepury the dentist removes the decay or old filling, shapes the cavity and takes an impression, from which the laboratory fabricates the inlay to fit exactly and to match the tooth's colour; at a second visit the inlay is bonded firmly into place and the bite is checked.
