Microscope Root Canal Treatment

Root canal (endodontic) treatment removes infected or damaged pulp from inside a tooth, disinfects the canals and seals them, relieving pain and saving a tooth that might otherwise be lost. At STARDENT endodontics is performed under a microscope by Agnieszka Giermak, who specialises in this area. Pricing is transparent and based on how many canals the tooth has, from 400 zł for a single-canal tooth up to 1,050 zł for a complex four-canal molar, with re-treatment of previously filled teeth priced separately.

Inside every tooth is a soft core of nerve and blood vessels called the pulp. When decay, a deep crack or trauma allows bacteria to reach it, the pulp becomes inflamed or infected, which can cause severe toothache and, if untreated, an abscess. Root canal treatment removes the diseased pulp, cleans and shapes the narrow canals inside the roots, disinfects them and fills them with a sealing material, allowing the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. At STARDENT this work is carried out under local anaesthetic and, for precision, with the aid of a dental operating microscope by Agnieszka Giermak, who focuses on microscopic endodontics. Magnification helps locate fine or hidden canals, clean them thoroughly and treat difficult cases — the clinic also offers microscope-assisted negotiation of blocked canals and removal of separated instruments or old posts. Cost depends on the anatomy of the tooth: front teeth usually have a single canal (400 zł) while back molars can have three or four (800–1,050 zł). Teeth that were root-filled previously and have failed can often be re-treated, priced from 500 zł. A tooth that has had root canal treatment is frequently restored afterwards with a crown to protect it from fracture. The clinic confirms the number of canals and the full plan after examination and X-rays.
