Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that cannot be saved — because of advanced decay, fracture, gum disease or crowding — or of a problematic wisdom tooth. STARDENT performs straightforward extractions from 200 zł, with multi-rooted and wisdom teeth in the 200–300 zł range, all under local anaesthetic, which is included at no charge. More complex surgical removals that require sectioning the tooth or removing bone are priced according to difficulty and explained beforehand.

Removing a tooth is sometimes the most sensible option — for example when a tooth is broken below the gum, severely decayed, loosened by advanced gum disease, or when a wisdom tooth is impacted and causing pain or infection. At STARDENT extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic so the procedure itself is not painful; the clinic includes anaesthetic at no extra cost and provides clear aftercare instructions to support healing and reduce the risk of complications. A simple extraction of a single-rooted tooth is 200 zł, while multi-rooted teeth and wisdom teeth are 200–300 zł depending on their position and how they are held in the bone. Some teeth require a surgical approach — raising the gum, removing a small amount of bone (osteotomy, 400–600 zł) or dividing the tooth (hemisection or root amputation, 400 zł) — and the clinic also performs root-tip resection (650 zł) to treat persistent infection at the end of a root while keeping the tooth. The dentist assesses the tooth, usually with an X-ray, explains which approach is needed and discusses options to replace the tooth afterwards, such as an implant, bridge or denture. Patients are advised on managing the socket, eating and oral hygiene during recovery, and on when to seek review.
