This approach suits first-time patients who want to experience the treatment on a limited area before committing to a multi-zone protocol, as well as those with a single dominant concern — such as deep glabellar frown lines without significant forehead or crow's feet involvement. The three available zones each address different muscles and movement patterns. Forehead treatment targets the frontalis muscle, the broad flat muscle that creates horizontal lines when the brows are raised. Glabellar treatment addresses the corrugator supercilii and procerus muscles responsible for the vertical lines between the eyebrows. Crow's feet treatment focuses on the lateral portions of the orbicularis oculi, the ring-shaped muscle surrounding the eye. The injection technique varies by zone. Forehead treatment requires careful dosing to maintain natural brow movement and avoid a 'frozen' appearance — under-treatment is preferable to over-treatment in this area. Glabellar injections can be more assertive because the corrugator muscles serve no essential expressive function beyond frowning. Crow's feet treatment uses superficial injection points placed in a fan pattern radiating from the outer eye corner.
