The procedure involves harvesting 3 to 5 tiny punch biopsies (each approximately 2.5mm in diameter) from a donor area at the back of the scalp — a region naturally resistant to androgenetic miniaturisation. These biopsies are processed in the Regenera device, which mechanically disaggregates the tissue into a suspension rich in regenerative progenitor cells, growth factors, and extracellular matrix proteins. This autologous suspension is then injected into the areas of active hair thinning on the scalp. The progenitor cells (including hair follicle stem cells and dermal papilla cells) exert regenerative paracrine effects on the dormant follicles in the treatment area, reactivating the hair growth cycle and improving follicular health.
