The consultation begins with a detailed medical history covering the duration and pattern of hair loss, family history, nutritional status, hormonal changes, medications, and psychosocial stressors — all of which can contribute to or exacerbate hair shedding. A trichoscopy examination using a handheld digital dermatoscope allows magnified visualisation of the scalp and individual follicular units to assess follicular density, miniaturisation, scalp condition (seborrhoea, folliculitis, fibrosis), and hair shaft abnormalities. Blood tests may be ordered to identify correctable causes of hair loss including iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, and nutritional deficiencies. Based on the findings, a personalised treatment plan is formulated which may include one or more of the clinic's hair restoration modalities — Regenera Activa, PRP, low-level laser therapy (LLLT), prescription medications (finasteride, minoxidil), Viviscal professional supplements, or FUE hair transplant surgery for advanced cases.
