The Urea & Electrolytes (U&E) panel examines a venous blood sample for urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium, chloride and bicarbonate levels. These results may support evaluation of kidney performance, hydration status, and electrolyte balance, which are important for managing conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, or medication effects. At £50, the U&E is a laboratory‑only service; any clinical interpretation requires a separate appointment. This test is suitable for adults who need monitoring of renal health or electrolyte status, for example after a change in medication, during a routine health review, or when symptoms suggest kidney involvement.
