About this treatment
A zirconia implant crown is the visible, working part of an implant-supported tooth. Once a placed implant has integrated with the jawbone, an abutment connects it to a custom-made crown that restores chewing function and appearance. Sobota House of Dentistry uses zirconia, a strong, tooth-coloured ceramic that resists wear and blends naturally with adjacent teeth, making it a popular choice for both front and back restorations.
The process involves taking impressions or a digital scan of the implant and surrounding teeth, from which the laboratory fabricates a crown matched to your bite, tooth shape and shade. At a subsequent visit the crown is checked for fit and contacts and then secured.
