A removable denture that replaces several missing teeth, or a full arch, to restore chewing, speech and appearance. Acrylic and flexible nylon dentures are the standard options, with sturdier cast-metal framework and premium BPS dentures available for a better fit and durability. At SmileOn the denture is made from digital scans and impressions and adjusted for comfort, offering a non-surgical alternative to implants for replacing multiple teeth.
A removable denture is a custom-made appliance that replaces missing teeth and can be taken out for cleaning. It is a long-established, non-surgical way to restore the ability to chew and speak and to support the lips and cheeks when several teeth, or all of them, are missing. At SmileOn Dental Studio the most economical option is an acrylic or flexible nylon denture; nylon dentures are lighter and metal-free, while acrylic is versatile and easy to adjust or add to. For a more stable and longer-lasting result the clinic offers a cast cobalt-chromium framework (skeletal) denture, which is thinner and clips more securely onto the remaining teeth, and a premium BPS denture system designed for a precise, comfortable fit and natural aesthetics. Making a denture involves a series of appointments to record the shape of the mouth and the bite — supported at SmileOn by digital scanning — try in the tooth arrangement, and fit and adjust the finished appliance. New dentures often need a short period of getting used to and a few adjustments to settle pressure points, which the clinic carries out as part of care. A small partial micro-denture is also available to replace just one or a few teeth temporarily or where a fixed solution is not suitable. Dentures suit patients missing multiple teeth who prefer a removable, non-surgical option, or who are not candidates for implants; they can also be combined with implants for added retention. The dentist assesses the remaining teeth and gums, explains the differences between acrylic, nylon, metal-framework and BPS options, and recommends the most appropriate design for your situation and budget.
