Porcelain Veneer

A porcelain veneer is a thin, custom shell of ceramic bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its colour, shape, size or alignment. At the fitting visit each veneer is tried in and then bonded with a strong adhesive. Veneers require healthy underlying teeth and gums, and good hygiene helps them last; habits such as nail-biting or grinding can shorten their lifespan, so a night guard may be advised.
