A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium screw placed into the jawbone, which acts as an artificial root for a crown fitted later. At Smile Studio the implant stage uses a premium Astra system and is carried out by a dentist focused on oral surgery and implantology, after assessment of the bone with 3D imaging. Where there is not enough bone, sinus lift or bone-regeneration procedures can be added. The implant gives a fixed, stand-alone replacement that does not rely on grinding down neighbouring teeth.
