The Check-Up Plus is the foundational screening tier at SmartPraxis München, designed for patients who want more than a standard GP visit but do not yet require imaging or cardiac ultrasound. The appointment begins with a thorough medical history review and measurement of blood pressure, resting pulse, and peripheral oxygen saturation to establish cardiovascular baseline data. Blood work forms the core of the assessment. The extended panel examines liver function through key enzymes, kidney filtration markers, thyroid-stimulating hormone for metabolic regulation, and vitamin D status — a nutrient deficiency prevalent in Central European latitudes that affects bone health, immune function, and mood regulation. A resting twelve-lead EKG captures cardiac rhythm and conduction patterns, screening for arrhythmias or ischaemic changes that may be asymptomatic. Bioimpedance analysis measures body composition beyond simple weight, distinguishing lean muscle mass from fat tissue and estimating visceral fat distribution. The physician reviews vaccination records against current STIKO recommendations and advises on any outstanding immunisations. All findings are discussed in a same-day consultation, and a written summary is provided for the patient's records.
