Skinboosters are a category of injectable skin treatment that delivers hydrating and regenerative actives directly into the mid-to-deep dermis, addressing skin quality issues that topical products cannot adequately reach. At Skinscape Clinic, Dr Harvey Ho offers several evidence-based skinbooster options, each with distinct mechanisms and benefits. Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide (PN) treatment derived from salmon DNA. It works by stimulating fibroblasts — the skin's collagen-producing cells — to regenerate tissue and repair damage. Rejuran is particularly effective for improving fine lines, skin elasticity, acne scarring, and overall skin density. Results accumulate over 4–8 weeks post-injection and are progressive over multiple sessions. Profhilo is a high-concentration hyaluronic acid (HA) treatment that is distinguished from traditional dermal fillers by its bio-remodelling mechanism. Rather than adding volume, Profhilo disperses evenly through the skin tissue, stimulating four types of collagen and elastin while providing intense hydration. It is suited to patients with dry, lax, or crepey skin who want a natural-looking improvement in skin firmness and glow. JuveLook is a newer generation collagen-stimulating skinbooster that combines PDLLA microspheres with HA to provide immediate hydration alongside a longer-lasting collagen-induction effect. It is effective for thin, tired-looking skin that has lost structural support. All three treatments involve a series of small injections across the face or target area, typically using a fine needle or cannula.
