Fractional Laser Resurfacing (Youlaser MT)

The thermal damage from the ablative columns also extends laterally into the surrounding dermis, denaturing existing collagen and stimulating fibroblast recruitment. This dual response — re-epithelialisation from above and neocollagenesis from within — produces both a surface refinement (smoother texture, reduced irregular pigmentation) and a deeper structural improvement (tighter, firmer dermis with better attenuation of scar contours).

At Skinderm, the physician selects the treatment density (percentage of surface covered by MTZs) and the depth based on the indication. Higher density and depth settings produce more dramatic results but also extend recovery. Before the procedure, topical anaesthetic cream is applied for 30–45 minutes. During treatment, patients feel a burning or prickling sensation; the Youlaser MT's cooled tip helps manage surface temperature and comfort.
