Vascular Laser — Redness & Broken Vessels

Vascular laser treatment uses specific wavelengths of light that are preferentially absorbed by the haemoglobin inside unwanted blood vessels. The absorbed energy heats and collapses the vessel wall so the vessel is gradually cleared by the body, while the surrounding skin is largely spared. This makes it a targeted way to reduce diffuse facial redness, individual broken capillaries, spider veins, small hemangiomas and persistent red scarring.

At Skin Spa the area is cleansed and the practitioner selects the appropriate system — CUTERA Excel V+, CUTERA Genesis Green or a Dye-VL pulsed-light option — and settings for your skin and the type of vessels being treated. A facial session typically takes fifteen to thirty minutes; you may notice transient warmth, redness or, around larger vessels, slight bruising for a few days.
