The CUTERA AviClear 1726 nm laser targets the skin's oil glands to address active acne without medication. It is a device-based option for patients who want an alternative or complement to topical and oral acne treatments. Best results come from a short course of sessions, and the clinic plans treatment and expectations around your skin at consultation.

AviClear is an energy-based acne treatment that uses a 1726 nm laser wavelength selectively absorbed by the sebaceous (oil) glands in the skin. By delivering controlled energy to these glands, the laser aims to reduce excess oil production that contributes to acne, offering a device-based approach for people who would prefer not to rely solely on long courses of topical or oral medication. At Skin Spa the treatment is carried out by a dermatologist or trained practitioner; the skin is cleansed and the device's contact cooling helps keep the procedure comfortable. A session for the full face takes around thirty to forty-five minutes, and you can usually return to normal activities the same day with some temporary redness or warmth. Because the effect builds over time, a course of three to four sessions spaced roughly four weeks apart is the standard protocol, with improvement in active breakouts continuing in the months that follow. It can be focused on the full face or a single area, and other body sites are priced individually. As with any acne treatment, results vary between individuals, and your dermatologist will discuss whether AviClear is appropriate for your skin, how it fits alongside your existing routine, and what to expect, including sun protection during and after the course.
