Chemical peels apply a controlled acid solution to exfoliate the skin and accelerate cell renewal, improving dullness, uneven tone, fine lines, congestion and mild pigmentation. The clinic offers a range from gentle superficial acid peels to deeper medical peels such as Easy TCA and the Perfect Peel, matched to your skin and goals at consultation.

About this treatment

A chemical peel uses a solution of one or more acids — such as glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, lactic or trichloroacetic acid (TCA) — applied to the skin to loosen and remove its outer layers in a controlled way. As the treated surface renews, the new skin underneath tends to look brighter, smoother and more even, which is why peels are used for dullness, uneven tone, rough texture, congestion, fine lines and mild pigmentation.

At Skin Spa the depth of peel is chosen to suit your skin and concern, from a light superficial acid peel with essentially no downtime to deeper medical peels such as Easy TCA Pain Control, Retix C or the layered Perfect Peel. During treatment you may feel warmth or mild tingling; afterwards the skin can look pink and, with stronger peels, may flake or shed over several days as it renews. Superficial peels are often done as a short course a few weeks…
