Atrophic (icepick, boxcar, rolling) scars respond best to a combination of fractional laser — which resurfaces the depressed surface and stimulates dermal fill — and microneedling with PRP, which delivers growth factors precisely into the scar base to promote fibroblast activity. The recommended protocol combines three CO2 laser sessions with three biostimulation sessions over six months. Microneedling with PRP is available from 3,200 Kč per session; CO2 full face 5,300 Kč. About this treatment
Acne scarring represents the visible aftermath of the inflammatory response to deep acne lesions, where the normal dermal matrix is either destroyed (atrophic scars) or overstimulated (hypertrophic scars). Effective treatment requires understanding which scar type is being addressed, because different morphologies respond differently to different interventions.
Atrophic scars (the most common post-acne type) fall into three subtypes: icepick scars (narrow, deep channels going vertically into the dermis), boxcar scars (broad, flat-bottomed craters with sharply defined edges), and rolling scars (broad undulations from subcutaneous fibrotic bands tethering the skin).
