Shine Dermatology offers three complementary skin tightening modalities — Ultherapy focused ultrasound, Sylfirm X microneedling RF, and BTL Exilis RF — targeting different tissue depths to lift, firm, and contour the face and neck without surgery.

Skin laxity is a natural consequence of collagen and elastin loss that accelerates from the mid-thirties onwards, and Shine Dermatology Clinic offers a clinically structured response through three non-invasive and minimally invasive technologies that together address the full depth of the face — from the SMAS layer deep fascia to the superficial dermis. Ultherapy is the only non-invasive treatment cleared by the US FDA specifically for skin lifting. It uses micro-focused ultrasound with real-time visualisation to deposit precise thermal energy at three specific depths: 4.5 mm (SMAS fascia), 3.0 mm (deep dermis), and 1.5 mm (superficial dermis). The controlled injury response triggers new collagen synthesis over three to six months, with peak lifting effects visible at three months and results persisting for up to two years. A single annual treatment is sufficient for most patients. Topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to maximise comfort during the procedure. Sylfirm X combines microneedling with bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy, delivering heat from the epidermis through to the deep dermis. Unlike older RF microneedling devices, Sylfirm X has a pulsed wave mode that selectively targets abnormal vasculature — making it uniquely suited to addressing rosacea and pigmentation alongside skin tightening. A typical programme consists of six monthly sessions, with visible firming and pore reduction typically apparent after sessions two and three. BTL Exilis RF uses monopolar and bipolar RF in a single applicator to deliver volumetric heating across mid-to-deep dermal layers. Treatments are comfortable with no downtime and results emerge within three to four weeks of a two-session course spaced one week apart. It is often used for ongoing maintenance between Ultherapy sessions. All three modalities are non-surgical, with patients able to resume daily activities the same day.
