Chequeo Urologico

The Chequeo Urologico provides a focused assessment of the male urogenital system, combining the key screening modalities recommended for prostate health surveillance. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer in men, and early detection through PSA screening and physical examination remains a cornerstone of preventive urology.

The programme measures both total PSA and free PSA fractions. The ratio between free and total PSA may help differentiate benign prostatic conditions from those warranting further investigation — a lower free-to-total ratio is generally associated with a higher likelihood of clinically significant prostate pathology. Physical examination provides complementary information about prostate size, consistency, and symmetry.

Abdominal ultrasound with prostate evaluation visualises the prostate gland, kidneys, and bladder, screening for structural abnormalities including enlargement, calcifications, cysts, or masses. The blood panel provides broader metabolic context, including kidney function markers that are relevant to urological health.
