About this treatment
Stroke and vascular screening programs combine blood biomarkers with imaging to assess your risk of stroke and cerebrovascular disease. Screening may include carotid ultrasound (measuring arterial plaque and blood flow), blood markers for clotting disorders, lipid levels, inflammatory markers, and in advanced programs, brain MRI or MRA to detect aneurysms or vascular abnormalities.
Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, but many risk factors are modifiable when identified early. Screening is particularly valuable for people with hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, or a family history of stroke.

Who is this for?

Preparation required
Fast for 10–12 hours if blood work is included. Wear comfortable clothing without neck jewelry for carotid ultrasound. Bring a list of all medications.
