The treatment is delivered via microinjections into the scalp, targeting areas of thinning or hair loss. Each session is performed in-clinic and takes approximately 45 minutes. A standard course consists of 6–12 sessions administered weekly over 6–12 weeks, though the exact protocol is tailored to the individual patient's hair loss pattern and severity.

The Sage Follicle Boost works synergistically with other treatments: it is frequently used alongside Low Level Laser Light Therapy to further stimulate follicular activity, and as post-operative support following FUE hair transplant surgery to optimise graft survival and accelerate regrowth. It can also serve as a standalone maintenance therapy for patients managing early-stage androgenetic alopecia or diffuse thinning.
