Microneedling at S Aesthetics Clinic is a minimally invasive collagen induction procedure using a device fitted with multiple fine needles that create controlled micro-channels in the dermis at precise depths. This mechanical stimulation triggers the skin's natural wound-healing cascade — platelet activation, growth factor release, and fibroblast proliferation — resulting in new collagen and elastin formation over a 4–8 week remodelling period. Primary indications include acne scars (especially rolling and boxcar subtypes), enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and general skin texture improvement. The clinic's microneedling service is positioned in the context of Dr. Cheak's Pico laser expertise: for patients with significant acne scar burden, a combination of Pico laser (LIOB effect for deeper dermal remodelling) and microneedling (surface collagen induction) may be recommended across alternating sessions. Serums containing hyaluronic acid, growth factors, vitamin C, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be infused through the micro-channels during treatment to amplify regenerative signals and accelerate recovery. A standard session lasts 30–60 minutes and is preceded by a topical anaesthetic application for comfort. Mild redness, swelling, and light peeling are expected for 3–5 days post-procedure; most patients resume normal activities within 24–48 hours. A course of 3–6 sessions is recommended at 4–6 week intervals, with results continuing to mature for up to 6 months following the final session.
