PDO Thread Lift

PDO (polydioxanone) thread lifting is a minimally invasive alternative to surgical facelift for patients who want facial lifting without the recovery time or cost of surgery. PDO is a well-established absorbable medical suture material with a long safety record in surgery. When introduced into the skin's deep dermis or subdermal layer as a mesh of fine threads, it produces two complementary effects: an immediate mechanical lifting of the overlying tissue (smoothing folds and repositioning descended structures), and a delayed bio-stimulatory effect as the body responds to the PDO by producing new collagen around each thread.

As the threads dissolve over 4 to 6 months, the collagen matrix they have stimulated remains, providing continued skin firmness and a gradual ongoing improvement in texture and elasticity. The combined mechanical and biological result typically lasts 12 to 18 months.
