They can appear in patients from their thirties onward and are frequently genetic in origin, making lifestyle-based solutions ineffective. For patients with both fat and skin excess, the subciliary approach is used, placing the incision just below the lash line in a natural skin fold where scarring becomes imperceptible. Post-operatively, cooling intervals are applied for the first 2 days. Mild bruising and swelling peak around days 2 to 3 and resolve within 10 to 14 days.
