The chin lift and submental liposuction procedure at RVmedCentrum addresses excess fat and/or loose skin beneath the chin. Submental liposuction removes the fat deposit through a small incision under the chin; for patients with additional skin laxity, surgical skin reduction is added from 35,000 Kč. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is a popular complement to facelift or rhinoplasty for total facial contouring.
About this treatment
A double chin can stem from excess fat accumulation, skin laxity, or both — and the treatment approach at RVmedCentrum is tailored to the underlying cause. For patients whose primary concern is fat volume, submental liposuction removes the deposit through a small incision concealed in the natural crease under the chin. A thin cannula is inserted to aspirate the fat; the incision is tiny and heals to a nearly invisible scar.
For patients with additional skin laxity — common in older patients or those who have lost significant weight — a skin reduction component is added, excising the excess tissue for a more defined jaw and neck contour. This combined approach is priced from 35,000 Kč.
Both versions are performed under local anaesthesia on an outpatient basis. A compression chin strap is typically worn for 5 to 7 days post-procedure. Mild swelling and bruising in the submental region resolve within 10 to 14 days, with full contour improvement becoming apparent over 4 to 6 weeks as tissue swelling subsides. Sports and strenuous activity should be avoided for 3 weeks.
