Unlike permanent fillers, HA is fully reversible with hyaluronidase enzyme if the patient is unhappy with the result, providing an important safety net. The consultation phase is critical for lip treatments. The practitioner assesses the patient's natural lip anatomy, discusses desired outcomes (subtle enhancement versus dramatic volume), and plans injection points and volumes accordingly.
