Vibration liposuction (power-assisted liposuction, PAL) uses a motor-driven cannula that oscillates at high frequency, disrupting fat cells more efficiently than manual techniques and reducing the surgeon's physical fatigue during extended procedures. The improved fat dispersal means the cannula passes through tissue with less friction, producing smoother contouring outcomes and lower rates of post-operative irregularity.
BodyJet (water-assisted liposuction, WAL) uses a precision water jet to dislodge and simultaneously aspirate fat cells, preserving cell viability — making it the preferred technique when fat is being harvested for autologous transfer (lipofilling) to another area such as the face, breast, or buttocks. The gentle hydrodynamic separation also reduces bruising and oedema compared with dry or tumescent-only techniques.
