A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium post placed into the jawbone, which acts as an artificial root for a crown fitted later. Treatment starts with an implant consultation and three-dimensional CT imaging, taken on the clinic's own scanner, so the bone volume and the position of nerves and the sinus can be assessed before surgery is planned.
